About Pink LouLou

I was born on a small island called Tasmania just off Australia. Christened with the name Skye, I grew up with a love for horses, particularly my own Biscuit and then Gidget, and an adoration for my mother's city-influenced style which was beautifully at odds with our rural life.

Influenced by both my parents’ worldliness, as soon as I was old enough, I moved to Melbourne and then Sydney to work in public relations and then as a shoot producer. But in early 2008, my world changed. My father, who I loved so dearly, passed. It was the catalyst for a period of remembrance and reflection and as token of love to my friends and relatives that had supported me through such a difficult time, I gave each one a Map of Tassie necklace.

What was was meant as a light-hearted gesture, a keepsake and an expression of thanks has since become the inspiration for my eclectic and crafted ready-to-wear jewellery brand that salutes personal style, loves a caring gesture and is a reflection of the person who chooses to wear each piece.

Pink LouLou is inspired by times past, by my mum, my dad, my friends and by my experiences. I am influenced by flicking through fashion mags and combing weekend markets. And like any self-respecting girl, I like a trend but I don't hang off their every word.

Poignantly for me, each piece of Pink LouLou jewellery is designed here in Australia and made with love.
