The inspiration behind Pink LouLou is that jewellery is more than just decorative. Every piece has meaning and tells the story of where you’ve been and where you want to go.

So today’s wrist selection was put together with my South American trip with a close friend in mind. We stumbled on a saddlery in Buenos Aires, and both fell in love with these leather stitched and woven wrist bands and bought a matching pair. They remind us of long days drinking Malbec together.

My Map Of Tassie cotton cord always reminds me of home, and this bracelet of  pearls strung together was bought for me by my father on a shopping trip for my mum, so I love having it near me. And I have always, always searched for the perfect gold buckle bracelet, and so this is the version that I created for Pink LouLou – and love.

It’s where I’m from, where I’ve been, who I was with and the energy I want with me today....

The Reef Knot Bangle has evolved from the Reef Knot ring my mum wore on her little finger while I was growing up. She loves to talk with her hands thus I used to constantly catch a glimpse of it when she was deep in conversation..............Much like her, (pardon the pun) the reef knot is a classic with a twist! (p.s she gave up smoking along time ago but it's a good shot of her ring)

My sister sent me this shot of my mother and I in the mid 70's, where she spied Mum was wearing a gold heart necklace which inspired the Delicate Heart Necklace in Gold chain which we have also done an OPTION in SIlver.

At Pink Lou Lou, we are very, very charming. We believe in the power of charms. We believe in the amulets, trinkets and mascots that we take everywhere with us, give to our fabulous friends and send to our families scattered around the globe. And so, we are always searching for the perfect modern talisman, meaningful symbols that inspire strength, independence, bravery or commitment … or just remind us of mum or home.

The Arrow Charm and the Razor Charm are both very important charms to us; both strong, sweet, and very direct. We like to keep them handy just to make sure we keep things straight to the point. 

Dad bought this butterfly necklace for my Mum when I was about 7 years old in Duncan's of Tasmania. Though not strictly a jewllery boutique, they had this glass cabinet in the corner that always had such lovely pieces in it and very often my Dad and I would choose a piece to take home for my Mum.    


Beautifully crafted in gold and enamel, it was the inspiration for my very own Pink LouLou Butterfly.

There's nothing Pink LouLou loves more than starting the week with a giant takeaway cappuccino and a copy of Grazia. If that issue happens to have eight pages of Pink LouLou editorial in then we're off to a flying start.

Having just launched our new Luck & Love collection, we were pretty chirpy anyway, but to flick through the Grazia fashion pages and see their ode to spring nicely littered with the Pink LouLou Knot ring made us positively resplendent with joy.

Spring has nearly sprung and with it comes a new season collection of Pink LouLou gold and sterling silver jewellery. Luck & Love is inspired by those close to our hearts and includes two-of-a-kind necklaces, rings and charms. Share them with your friends and family or keep them for yourself.
